Woven Voices: Revealing the stories behind unique objects and experiences
We believe the best places are formed through collaborations with creative communities, and the best ideas arise in conversations. We want to capture those voices, weaving them into stories that engage, inspire and inform.
Woven Voices is part of Woven Spaces, a hybrid of placemaking agency, creative lab and property developer. We developed Woven Voices to explore the people, ideas and relationships that shape the world around us with meaning and purpose.
Our new podcast reveals the stories behind commissioning, be it a new home, a tailored suit or a personal perfume. It explores why people commission certain objects and experiences, how they engage with makers, and what to expect along this rich and rewarding journey.
The unique object or experience has always had a powerful appeal and, as we learn to consume better, bespoke commissions are becoming ever-more popular and accessible. However, the process of commissioning a one-off piece remains shrouded in mystery. Most makers will agree that they are only as good as the brief, but what makes a good brief? And how do you become a good client?
Join us as we hear the stories of designers, makers, clients, curators and brokers.
