“I’m really happy for the democracy to exist in handing over a piece of music because that is how it will grow. If I wanted everyone to interpret it in exactly the way I had envisioned, then there wouldn’t be diversity of thought in the music. That’s really important. I like the idea that it will have a life of its own after I have delivered it. Time moves on, people move on, and music should also move on.”
